Person of interest in custody after teen shot and killed in Round Lake Beach home
A person of interest, who has not been identified, was taken into custody, police confirmed Friday morning.

Fire officials took the victim to the University of Chicago Medical Center in fair condition.
It was last seen driving northbound on Jeffery under the viaduct.
The robberies happened during the afternoon and evening hours in June and July in the Bronzeville and Kenwood neighborhoods.
The burglaries happened in the Andersonville, Norwood Park, and Edison Park neighborhoods during the early morning hours.
Police arrived at the scene where the resident and gunman, who confessed to the shooting, were outside. Both were taken into custody for questioning.
The incident happened on the platform in the 300 block of South Dearborn Street around 3:30 p.m.

The Beach Park Fire Department responded to the Adeline Geo-Karis Illinois Beach State Park around 8:13 p.m. Saturday for a person in water distress.
The motorcycle hit the back of a white Toyota Prius and caught fire, state police said.
Illinois State police say a vehicle was traveling down I-94 near 73rd Street around 2:40 a.m. when someone in another car started shooting at them – striking the boy who was a passenger.
Police did not say if both shootings were connected, but Area 2 detectives were investigating the circumstances surrounding both incidents.
The ages of the victims range from 14 to 50.
The robberies happened in Brighton Park, Back of the Yard, Gage Park, Chicago Lawn, and Garfield Ridge neighborhoods.
The burglaries happened in the Austin and West Garfield Park neighborhoods during the evening and early morning hours, with the latest happening on Wednesday.
