Authorities are investigating a violent home invasion and armed robbery in Long Lake Saturday afternoon. A 36-year-old Grand Rapids woman was killed Monday morning in an ATV accident in Beltrami County. According to the Beltrami County Sheriff's office, the accident occurred just before 10 a.m. on the Scenic Highway Northeast (Co Rd 39) just north of Birchmont Beach Road Northeast in Moose Lake Township, which is 22 miles east of Bemidji. A witness saw the victim, who has not yet been identified, pinned under an ATV after the accident.
