The man was able to get into one house through an open window, walk around, and stole wallets and phones while the people slept.
While the residents slept, the offender walked around the residence taking wallets and cell phones, police said.
The thief has gotten in through windows and traipsed around the victims' homes while they were sleeping.
Chicago police said around 11:45 p.m., the boy was beaten by several other males on the street in the 7300 block of West Gregory Street.
Police said a man entered through the side door of multiple residential garages and stole tools and lawn care equipment.
