Chicago police said around 8:42 p.m., the 23-year-old victim was on a scooter heading northbound, in the 2200 block of South State Street, when he was struck by a white four-door sedan.
Investigation into the incident revealed the car was traveling in the same direction as the victim and attempted to make a left turn onto Cermak.
Police say around 2:45 a.m., a white-in-color SUV, possibly a Chevrolet, struck the pedestrian in the 9100 block of South King Drive.
The eight individuals suffered minor injuries and were taken to local area hospitals for observation.
