The workers’ bodies can’t be recovered until debris is removed. The largest available crane on the East Coast is now in place at the port to help in the salvage operation. Able to lift pieces weighing up to one thousand tons, but first, engineers are devising the best ways to extract it all.
Officials say that the process to clear the debris will take time as the crane can only lift about one thousand tons, so the wreckage will have to be cut up first.
CBS News Correspondent Natalie Brand reports the search for four missing workers is also now suspended, a day after divers recovered the bodies of two of the victims.
