Ranch Place Fire in East San Jose contained after burning more than 90 acres
A vegetation fire that started in the hills of East San Jose on Tuesday afternoon is 100% contained, officials said Wednesday morning.

The attack happened in the San Francisco Marina District on Friday, the DA's office said.
Police said that around 12:30 p.m., police responded to Christmas Tree Point Road for a report of vandalism.
He was found unresponsive on May 12 in a Golden Gate Park public bathroom, near Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive and 19th Avenue, the OCME said.

Around 8:30 a.m., police said they got a call about a man with a knife slashing tires near A and 8th streets.
The store was robbed once in the morning and twice at night, police said.
The alleged incidents happened in late 2023 while the suspect worked as a paraeducator at Marin's Community School in San Rafael, police said.
