Police said they received a call just after 9 p.m. regarding a man who was unresponsive in the driver's seat of a vehicle.
The shooting happened around 12:07 a.m. on the 100 block of Harbor Road.
The crash happened around 9:10 a.m. on eastbound Highway 120, west of Highway 99.
Milpitas Police said they suspect a woman of intentionally hiding her son and then setting off a search for him on Thursday.
