2 boys charged in armed carjacking in Chatham
Chicago police said the boys, 13 and 15, were arrested on Tuesday just after 12:35 p.m. in the 8000 block of South Stewart Avenue.

Chicago police said the boys, 13 and 15, were arrested on Tuesday just after 12:35 p.m. in the 8000 block of South Stewart Avenue.
The shooting happened around 12:16 a.m. in the 1300 block of East Hyde Park Boulevard.
They say photos of children holding "first day of school" signs display personal information, including their name and grade, and technological advances can make scams involving children more pervasive and dangerous.
A preliminary investigation indicated that the pedestrian attempted to cross the lanes of traffic and was struck by a passing vehicle, which remained at the scene.
He was treated by fire crews who arrived on the scene. He was taken to Mt. Sinai, where he died.
The ages of the victims range from 13 to 54.
Bridgeview police say a 23-year-old woman was driving northbound when she jumped a grassy medium and hit a FedEx tractor head-on.
It happened at the location near Western and Busse Highway Friday morning.
Police say a man, a woman, and two children were able to get out of the building after shots rang out.
