Chicago police shoot man who fired gun, hit officer with truck on NW Side

Chicago police said the officers were responding to a call for service in a marked vehicle heading northbound on Central Avenue when they lost control of the vehicle, causing it to roll over in the street.
Nicholas W. Holmes, 33, of Chicago, and Christopher E. Mazurek, 34, of Roselle, were charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of burglary tools, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
It is unclear what led the driver to lose control of the car.
The robberies happened during the evening hours between May 9 and 21.
The victims, a 33-year-old man and a 30-year-old woman, were standing outside when someone inside a black sedan pulled up and fired shots at them.
Dalvin D. Johnson, 31, of Waukegan, and Willie E. Brown, 36, of Chicago, were charged with burglary of a motor vehicle, felony theft, and resisting arrest.
The teen was arrested on Thursday in the 1100 block of South Hamilton Avenue by Citywide Robbery Task Force members.
