Baby ejected from SUV in Northwest Indiana in violent crash

Chicago police said the victim was crossing the street when she was hit by the driver of a dark-colored SUV.

Chicago police arrested Gregory Mulkey, 33, around 5:04 p.m. on Friday, in the 3700 block of West Leland Avenue.
Police said around 1:03 a.m., officers were in the 2500 block of South Homan Avenue when someone approached and attempted to batter the officers.
Police said officers responded to a report of a person shot and found two victims within the 1800 and 1900 blocks of Green Lane North.
Police say the shooting happened in the 17400 block of South Pulaski Road around 9 p.m. Officers were dispersing a group of people when shots were fired by an unknown offender.
