Lincoln Park Zoo lion cub recovering after back surgery
The zoo, along with MedVet Chicago, worked together to perform surgery to fix a slipped disc in his back.

The robberies happened between 5:30 and 7 p.m. in the Grand Crossing and West Town neighborhoods
It's unclear what led to the shooting.
The trooper was taken to an area hospital for treatment and was released.
Damarco Williams, 20, and Devin Alexander, 18, were placed into custody and charged with multiple felonies.
The victim, described as a Hispanic man between 20 and 30 years old, was found lying on the ground.
An officer was struck in his bullet-proof vest, and a second officer suffered injuries to his face from glass.
Hazmat crews were on the scene, which was upgraded to a 3-11 alarm.
Mikyael J. Harris, 25, of Chicago was charged with aggravated discharge of a firearm.
The ages of the victims range from 15 to 39.
Melinda Uribe 30, and Robert M. Carr, 41, from Mundelein, were charged with home invasion and residential burglary. Keith T. Daniels, 43, also from Mundelein, was charged with criminal trespass to a residence.
The store's security guard said a Jeep SUV crashed through it. Afterward, five or six burglars from two other cars jumped out and made multiple trips in and out of the store to steal things – happening in about five minutes.
He recently arrived at PAWS, and after some routine tests, the vet staff at PAWS diagnosed him with an enlarged atrium and congestive heart failure.
No injuries were reported, and the officers did not return fire, police said.
