Albert Ramon is the chief meteorologist for CBS News Chicago. Albert joined the First Alert Weather Team in October 2021.
Before coming to CBS, Albert was chief meteorologist at the News Nation Network based in Chicago. While at the network, he covered landfalling hurricanes, blizzards, wildfires and tornado outbreaks for the entire country.
Albert also spent more than a decade at KVUE-TV in Austin, Texas, where he served as chief meteorologist. While in Austin, Albert won two regional Emmy Awards and several Associated Press Awards, including for Best Weathercast.
Before Austin, Albert also worked in Corpus Christi, Texas, at the CBS affiliate, where he also served as a chief meteorologist.
Albert holds degrees in Broadcast Meteorology from Mississippi State University and in Communication/Media Studies from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi.
Albert has earned Seals of Approval from both the American Meteorological Society and the National Weather Association.

A breezy and cool day is ahead with highs in the low 60s.
Afternoon temperatures will range from the upper 50s near the lake to the 70s in the suburbs, to the low 80s for a few spots south of I-80.
Wednesday's highs will be in the mid-60s with breezy conditions.
Cool conditions will continue into Thursday with morning temperatures in the upper 40s and afternoon highs in the low 60s.
A cold front will move through the area by early Wednesday morning, making for a breezy and cooler day.
The air quality dropped from moderate to unhealthy Friday afternoon.
Mainly dry conditions are expected after today for at least the next week.
Most of the rain will be light and won't amount to much.
Shower chances increase late Thursday night and continue into Friday.
Scattered showers and storms are in the forecast for late Saturday night through the predawn hours on Sunday. A few storms could be heavy.
According to CBS 2 Chief Meteorologist Albert Ramon. it'll be partly cloudy and warmer Friday with highs in the mid to upper 70s and a lake breeze will keep temperatures in the low 70s near the lake.
Skies will remain partly cloudy overnight, with lows in the low 40s.
A cold front arrives on Saturday, allowing for a better chance for showers in the late morning and afternoon.
In the city, expect a mostly clear sky and temperatures hovering just above freezing around 34 degrees.
The best chance for storms will be near the Wisconsin state line. Storms that do develop could produce strong winds and hail.
