The melee appears to have broken at the start of half time near the 50 yard line seats in the upper deck, when 49er fans and Cardinal fans began jawing at each other across an aisle. The initial shoving sent fans down the stairs and onto a walkway below. At that point, fans in Cardinals gear who had not been previously involved began taking swings at the pile, which included both men and women.
The 49ers again fell apart in the second half of a game, letting the Arizona Cardinals overcome a 14-6 half time deficit to win 23-14. Some players and fans blamed the officials.

"When you lose, you not only lose a game, but you lose a little confidence and you lose a little swag," John Madden told the KCBS Radio morning crew. "(The 49ers) have to get the win and they have to get the confidence and the swag. (People think) these guys are pros and they're really confident. But when you lose, it's like a fighter when he gets knocked out. When you lose you don't know if you're ever going to win another game."

Despite everyone saying otherwise, the 49ers are actually doing right by their player by allowing Ray McDonald to play. If it turns out that he is lying and is guilty of any form of domestic violence, than they have made it clear that he will no longer be a 49er. How is that wrong?
For Sunday night's sold-out 49ers game at Levi's Stadium, there were a number of empty seats in the stands as some patrons retreated to the new stadium's private clubs and suites.
After losing in week 2, the 49ers will look to bounce back against the Arizona Cardinals. San Francisco will face a must win as they can't afford to drop two in a row, especially with one coming at the hands of a division rival.
"You have a lead like that at home, there's no way you should lose that game," John Madden told the KCBS radio morning crew. "Turnovers and penalties will probably do it every time. When you have that lead at home and you have a pretty good defense and a pretty good running game, you have to be able to control that game."
