Car accident in Mercer County injures several people

Multiple police units are investigating what led to this early Sunday morning crash. The crash was so significant, traffic lights and trees were knocked over.
The Chevy driver backed out of a driveway when a 41-year-old Dodge driver was traveling southbound on Verree Road, officials say.

CBS3 saw car parts scattered across the road and damage to the vehicles. There is no word yet on the number of people injured or their conditions.
The driver stopped at the scene.
Police haven't said what the officer's condition is or if anyone in the other vehicle was injured.
Two teenage boys were in the car and while the driver sustained fatal injuries, police say, the passenger's injuries were less severe.
The officer died after a crash in the Somerton section of the city in late June. Philadelphia police identified the officer as Henry Gonski III.
The accident happened at the intersection of Roosevelt Boulevard and Adams Avenue around 8:20 p.m.
Chopper 3 was over the scene in Mays Landing, just before 9 a.m. Thursday.
It happened on the 9600 block of Bustleton Avenue, just before 3 p.m.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
Police say the driver of one of the cars went through the windshield and is in critical condition.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver stayed on location.
A woman was left with minor injuries.
A vehicle slammed into a truck in a construction zone and then caught fire, around 6:15 a.m. Tuesday.
The crash happened n the 200 block of West Chelten Avenue around 10:10 a.m. on Saturday.
Chopper 3 was over a serious crash in Limerick Township on Friday night.
The driver of the car hit a tree.
The crash remains under investigation.
