Detroit firefighters were called to St. John Hospital on the city's east side but as it turns out, it was just a false alarm.
At around 3 p.m. Friday, Coast Guard officials got word of a vehicle on fire aboard the passenger vessel Charlevoix, a 50-foot four-car cable ferry, while the vessel was moored to the pier.
The fire happened early Monday morning on Commonwealth St. in the Woodbridge community near Grand River and Rosa Parks Boulevard.
