The woman who was shot, along with two of her children, in her Matteson home earlier this month detailed the horrors they experienced. Police arrested Antoinette Newsome's ex-boyfriend, Lander D. Coleman, who her family believes entered her home and hid for hours before shooting her and two of her children.
Sources told CBS 2 that Lander D. Coleman was being treated at the University of Chicago hospital.

Police are searching for Lander Coleman, 43, who was accused of shooting his ex-girlfriend and her daughter and son.

This week, Matteson police announced a nationwide manhunt for the suspected gunman, Lander D. Coleman, 43, who was on the run. A shooting in south suburban Matteson has claimed the life of a 9-year-old boy. Police have not released any details on what led to the shooting, and have only said the shooting happened Thursday night. The victim's grandmother identified the boy as O'Mauri Jones Brown.

"His mom moved out and he stayed here, because he didn't want to go to Chicago, because he was afraid of getting shot," the boy's grandmother said.
Both victims were not residents of Matteson.
