Woman charged with murder in CTA Red Line platform shooting on Chicago's South Side

Several ambulances were called to the scene.
The crash happened within the past half hour at 79th Street, Stony Island Avenue, and South Chicago Avenue.

The stabbing happened about 10 minutes after a woman was shot and killed at the Red Line stop at 69th Street on the South Side.
The robber took the victim's belongings and ran off the train when it arrived at the Cicero Avenue station, police said.
Trains are currently operating only between Howard and Garfield.
Police said he was hit by the arriving train and later died at Stroger Hospital.
The robbery happened around 8 p.m. on Feb. 12 in the 4600 block of North Broadway in the Uptown neighborhood.
The teen was arrested on Wednesday in the 11300 block of South Normal Avenue and charged with three felony counts of aggravated robbery with an indication of a firearm.
The service will be such that commuters can catch a bus in 10 minutes or less.
The CTA announced Sunday that it is adding service to eight bus routes this month.
The robbery happened at 6:14 a.m. on a train at the Fullerton station.
Police said the 45-year-old victim was on a train at the Fullerton stop when he was approached by several people who struck him several times, and then took his personal property. The robbers ran from the scene.
