Authorities are searching for a woman who robbed a Buena Park neighborhood bank late Thursday afternoon on the North Side.
A security guard at a bank in south suburban Evergreen Park fired shots Friday at a robber fleeing his fourth successful heist in five tries since September, authorities said.
Arden Metalitz made off with $1,000 after she robbed a Chase Bank branch Nov. 6 at 791 Elm St. in Winnetka, according to a federal criminal complaint.
The woman walked into the branch at 3636 W. 26th St. at 4:16 p.m. and announced a robbery, according to Chicago Police and the FBI.

The bank at 8739 S. Harlem in Bridgeview was robbed at 12:06 p.m. Tuesday, according to the FBI.
About 2:20 p.m. on April 18, the man entered a Chase bank at 6650 S. Stony Island Av. and attempted a non-takeover robbery, the FBI said.
