Car slams into Dollar Tree store in Oak Lawn

A Yellow Line train hit a piece of snow removal equipment at the Howard rail yard along its route.
The fire started at a warehouse near 41st and Halsted, and later spread to multiple buildings.
The fiery crash caused some intense moments for those involved – and for drivers caught in the middle. Fortunately, nobody was injured.
Overnight snow and rain are causing dangerous driving conditions for Wednesday morning commuters.

The fire started at a home in a heavily wooded lot on Robin Crest Road in Hawthorn Woods, just north of Lake Zurich.
Morning commuters should avoid southbound Lake Shore Drive as crews work to clear the scene.
Around 3:10 a.m., four vehicles, including a semi-truck, were involved in a crash at Lawrence Avenue that led to a fuel spill.
Police said one person was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center after "coming into contact with a skin irritant."
No major injuries were reported, but two firefighters suffered minor injuries.
Part of North Avenue was being blocked as the investigation continued. It was unclear what the condition of the bicyclist was.
