Man seriously injured in shooting in Antioch

The warning was in effect for Neeley Road and Orchard Avenue, between River Lane and Montesano Avenue, due to landslide and tree fall risk.
It would have been the festival's third year and was planned for May 30 and 31 at Napa Valley Expo.
Police said they received a call around 1:45 p.m. about a possible body being in the water behind the Gordon Hill Flower Shop and Davenport properties.
At the scene, one person was found injured. Police said the victim was taken to the hospital with an injury that was not life-threatening.
Police said officers arrived at the scene and found three people injured: a 20-year-old man, a 21-year-old man and a 22-year-old woman. They were all taken to the hospital, but the 21-year-old was pronounced dead.
Police said their initial investigation showed that the woman was walking northbound along the canal and that she was fatally struck while trying to cross Pelandale Avenue.

The California Highway Patrol said the three men were fixing a tire chain on the side of Highway 50 when they were struck by a driver who had lost control of his vehicle. All three suffered major injuries and were taken to the hospital.

According to the CHP, the 23-year-old driver lost control while traveling at a high rate of speed. His vehicle then left the roadway, went through a chain link fence, slid sideways across a parking lot and crashed into a water wheel.
An arrest was made at the scene, but police have not yet identified the suspect or released information about what led up to the shooting. The victim was taken to the hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.
