Rideshare passenger wounded in Dan Ryan Expressway shooting, ISP say

Isaiah Martinez, 22, charged with one felony count of aggravated battery with a firearm, appeared at a hearing at the Maybrook Courthouse, where the judge ordered him to be held without bond.
Melissa M. Coquillard, 33, of Hampshire, and Martin Gonzalez, 36, of South Elgin, were both charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and unlawful possession of a controlled substance.
The robberies occurred on the city's Near West Side between Jan. 1 and 5 in the afternoon and evening.
The teen was arrested on Thursday in the 7500 block of South Carpenter and was charged with five felony counts of armed robbery and one felony count of aggravated vehicle hijacking.
The fire appeared to occurred at a warehouse in the 5700 block of South Kedzie Avenue in Gage Park.
Ricardo Lemos, 42, was convicted on Oct. 24, 2024, of criminal sexual assault.
The driver of the struck vehicle later died at the hospital. Their passenger, only described as a juvenile, suffered serious injuries.
On Tuesday, Robert Brandt, 44, was arrested in the 4300 block of South Champlain.
Jemaal Muhammad, 20, was charged with two felony counts of robbery, one felony count of robbery with an indication of a firearm, and one misdemeanor count of theft.
Their identities were not released as they were juveniles at the time of the crime.
The two entered the businesses, taking items and money from inside, before leaving the scene and heading northwest through an alley.
Officers saw and attempted to approach the teen, who then ran into a residence, where officers initiated a SWAT incident.
The victim, identified as Austin Stanek, 24, of Island Lake, Illinois, was taken to Advocate Good Shepard Hospital in Barrington, where he died.
