While securing the scene, officers learned about three additional adult victims who had arrived at Methodist Northlake Hospital seeking treatment for gunshot wounds.
According to the alert, all three incidents happened within five minutes.
The 17-year-old was arrested by members of the Chicago police and the Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force on Wednesday in the 2600 block of West 94th Street in Evergreen Park.
Mariangel Gomez, 16, was last seen with the child in the 600 block of West Irving Park Road.
Three suspects were then taken into custody, ISP said.
Cody D. Ratliff, 39, of Kerrville, Texas, was arrested on Feb. 9 and was charged with a felony count of intimidation.
The cause of the recent "egg-flation" is the rise in bird flu cases in the U.S., which has been impacting farms and wiping out flocks.
The suspects fled the scene with the 6-year-old still in the vehicle.
The ages of the victims range from 18 to 54.
Glenview police officer Robert Fryc served with the department since 2007.
The crash happened in the inbound lanes of I-290 near Morgan Street around 4 a.m.
Officers responded to a call of shots fired at the Luke gas station in the 700 block of West Lincoln Highway around 9:45 a.m.
Brendan M. Wilcox, 37, was charged with felony counts of burglary and theft and received an additional charge for resisting a peace officer.
Chicago police said she was identified as the suspect who participated in the deadly shooting of the victim on July 6, 2024, in the 10600 block of South State Street.
