4 dead, 8 hurt in weekend shootings across Chicago, according to police

Police said the victim was standing near the sidewalk when he was approached by an unknown person who pulled out a sharp object and swung at him.
It happened just before 4:30 p.m. at the U.S. Bank branch at 11960 Western Avenue.
Winnetka police said there is no indication of foul play, but the investigation is ongoing.
The 17-year-old was arrested on Friday in the 1500 block of South Loomis Street by members of the Area 1 Homicide Investigative Support Team.
Jamari Bryant, 26, was charged with aggravated battery.
Police say the teen told officers he was walking when a man walked up and they got into an argument.
It happened just after midnight in the 6200 block of South Kedzie Avenue.
It happened at Jackson and Hoyne, about a block away from the Chicago Bulls College Prep high school.
Police say three men driving a Grey SUV Jeep approached the victims on the street, displayed a long gun, and demanded their belongings.
Kristi B. Tyler, 53, was arrested and charged with aggravated battery to a victim over the age of 60, aggravated battery causing great bodily harm, and aggravated battery in a public place.
It happened around noon in the 100 block of North Kenilworth.
Landmarks Illinois is out with its annual list of 10 most endangered landmarks, including three locations in Chicago.
The incident happened just after 5 p.m. Tuesday near 147th and Perry Avenue.
The driver attempted to stop but was unable to avoid the collision.
