U.S. postal carrier sentenced to 9 months in federal prison for mail theft

Police say around 5:15 p.m., the suspect approached a 26-year-old woman at the stop, located in the 1200 block of North Milwaukee Avenue, took her headphones, and fled the scene.
The robberies happened within two hours in the Brighton Park and Back of the Yards neighborhoods.
The victim was shot in the leg and stomach and taken to Comer Children's Hospital in serious condition.
