Des Plaines man charged with kidnapping, sexually assaulting teen last month

The victims related that after exiting the CVS store a man approached, displayed a handgun tucked into his waistband, and then proceeded to a purse from one of the women.
Police arrested both teens – one in the 0-100 block of West Jackson Boulevard and the other in the 200 block of South State Street.
Police arrested the 16-year-old Thursday afternoon, in the 4000 block of West Lake Street.
The victim was taken by the Chicago Fire Department to the University of Chicago Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
His birthday also falls on World Ocean Day – a day of spreading awareness and celebrating the ocean while encouraging actions to protect the planet.
He was charged with one felony count of aggravated attempted vehicular hijacking and one felony count of aggravated unlawful restraint.
Chicago police say the victim, a 54-year-old man, was arguing with an unknown man who pulled out a firearm and opened fire.
The garage and second floor were destroyed by the fire.
They'll be served Monday through Friday starting today through Aug. 4 from 10 a.m. to noon.
