Police issue alert of multiple retail thefts in downtown Chicago

It was alleged the teen approached a 36-year-old woman, implied he had a weapon, and took personal belongings from the victim in the 300 block of West Schiller Street.
Responding officers quickly found him and placed him into custody less than 30 minutes later.

Omotayo Kassim, 34, was charged with attempted murder, and aggravated discharge of a firearm from an occupied vehicle.
