Boy, 10, hurt after being hit by car in Englewood hit-and-run

The driver of a black pickup was heading eastbound and did not stop to render aid.
Chicago police say that a 21-year-old man was driving a white truck when a collision occurred with a black truck. Someone from the black truck then fired shots – striking the victim.
The ages of the victims range from 16 to 59, according to police.
Ronald X. Owens, Jr, 37, and Edwin Roddy, 42, were arrested and charged Friday evening.
Preliminary information says a man, 53, and a woman, 41, were outside when they heard shots and then felt pain.
Chicago police said the shooting happened just before 12:30 a.m. in the 4500 block of South Champlain Avenue.
The robberies happened on Saturday, Aug. 11, one around 1:30 a.m. and two more just before midnight.
A preliminary investigation indicated that a 2015 Toyota Highlander was traveling northbound on Elmhurst Road from Dempster Street when it struck the victim, who was attempting to cross Elmhurst Road.
The victim was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where he died.
The 13-year-old boy was arrested and charged with armed robbery and aggravated unlawful use of a weapon by a minor.
Dejonte Parks, 27, appeared at his sentencing hearing Friday morning, where he was handed the sentence in front of Judge Daniel Guerin.
Chicago police say a 46-year-old man got into an argument with a man and woman when she stabbed the 46-year-old in the back, causing him to drop his things.
Both men were hit multiple times and were taken to Stroger Hospital.
Prosecutors say that Sebastian P. Kegebein, 17, agreed to the sentence in exchange for a guilty plea to the offense of attempted first-degree murder.
