More rain is on the way with flooding possible
It's a First Alert Weather Day, with another excellent chance for showers and thunderstorms this afternoon. Some of the rain could be heavy, which has prompted a Flood Watch for the urban corridor.

It's a First Alert Weather Day, with another excellent chance for showers and thunderstorms this afternoon. Some of the rain could be heavy, which has prompted a Flood Watch for the urban corridor.
A severe thunderstorm watch is in effect until 9 PM for Adams, Arapahoe, Baca, Bent, Crowley, Denver, Douglas, Elbert, El Paso, Huerfano, Las Animas, Otero, Pueblo, and Teller counties. The primary concerns are: large hail up to 2 inches in diameter, wind gusts up to 60 miles per hour, and heavy rain.
It will be a nice start to the day, but the wet weather will return this afternoon. There's a higher chance for strong storms to produce large hail and flash flooding.
Cloudy, cool, and rainy weather will continue today. We should see a break in the rain this evening before another round of rain pushes in later tonight. Thanks to cooler temperatures the risk for severe weather is low.

Memorial Day will start out with mostly sunny skies. However, by the afternoon we can still expect to see increasing clouds and a few scattered storms. Daytime highs will climb to the low 80s for the Denver metro area and eastern plains, with 60s and 70s in the mountains and mid-80s on the western slope.
Today the warm weather will continue with daytime highs in the mid 70s.
Unfortunately, the wildfires are still burning in western Canada and smoke from the fires will continue to impact air quality and visibility in Colorado.

Another day with daytime highs in the low 70s. We will see increasing clouds this afternoon with a slight chance for isolated showers for the I-25 corridor and eastern plains this afternoon mainly after 3pm.
