Saturday marked one year since two sisters were hit and killed in North Highlands.
At 9:30 p.m., there was a ShotSpotter activation along the 3800 block of Madison Ave. near Jackson St., according to the Sacramento County Sheriff's Office. Deputies arrived at the scene and found an adult male laying on the east side of the roadway with a gunshot wound to his torso.
Witnesses declined to give any information; deputies are still searching for the suspect.
Six people who live at the home are now displaced. No injuries were reported.
Firefighters battled a house fire in North Highlands on Monday.
A broken water main in North Highlands that caused damage to nearby vehicles and structures has been repaired. While the hole appeared at the tail end of Monday's wet weather, Sacramento County officials say it appears that a water main break was the actual cause.
Crews are expected to be out all day repairing the damage.

The scene is near McDermott Drive and Elkhorn Boulevard.

An investigation is underway after a man was found shot in a North Highlands-area parking lot late Thursday night.
An arrest was made in connection with a grisly killing that happened earlier this month in North Highlands. Sheriff's office homicide detectives identified the suspect as 44-year-old Darnell Erby of Sacramento.
