The robberies all happened on Thursday, Jan. 26, in the Far South Side's West Pullman and Riverdale neighborhoods.
It happened at the Metra maintenance facility in West Pullman.
Police said Tony Mason III had set up a sale of Adidas "Yeezy" boots through a social media marketplace, but then robbed the victims and started shooting.
Chicago Police say the seller took the victims' money and shot both of them.
According to the Chicago Police Department, the teens were in a parked vehicle just after 2 p.m. trying to buy a pair of shoes from a social media marketbplace seller.
Chicago police say the victim, 36, was driving when he heard shots and felt pain.
No offenders are in custody related to the West Pullman shooting.
Both of the victims were listed in critical condition.
Participants gathered at Saint Agatha Catholic Church in North Lawndale, and Saint Titus One Missionary Baptist in West Pullman.
