CBS 2 crews spotted officers and police tape near the skate park in Grant Park following the incident.
According to prosecutors, the suspect was on the platform when both he and the 28-year-old victim threw rival gang signs at each other.
The victim was then taken to Northwestern Hospital in fair condition.
The suspect is accused of then trying to hide her body in an alley near Chicago and Waller avenues.
