The 21-year-old man was stabbed after stepping between a couple and a woman with a knife in the Edgewater community Wednesday evening. CBS 2's Sabrina Franza reports.

Chicago police said the woman tried, but failed to attack another man and woman near Sheridan Road and Berwyn Avenue just before midnight. The victim saw this and tried to intervene.
The woman was approached by another woman in the 3700 block of West Chicago Avenue, police said.
Police said the incident initially started as an argument between the victims and the unidentified male suspect who produced a sharp object and stabbed one of the victims.
There was no word on any of the victims' conditions late Wednesday.
