Experts say one of the reasons it is hard to curb the issue of guns being stolen out of cars is because Illinois’ requirements for reporting that a gun was stolen are rather lax. As Megan Hickey reports, some lawmakers are now trying to fix that.

A Chicago Police bulletin was issued Sunday about the thefts, which happened between Sunday, July 21, and just this past Saturday in the nighttime and early-morning hours.
