A man was shot and seriously injured by a Chicago Police officer during a traffic stop in the Chatham neighborhood on the South Side Saturday night.
Interest in the shooting was high following initial reports it may have been a robbery. The shooting occurred near Chicago's financial district.
About 11:50 p.m., a vehicle tried to cut in line at the restaurant in the 200 block of West Garfield Boulevard, and a gunman in the passenger seat of an SUV opened fire, according to Chicago Police.
The latest fatal shooting was a gang-related attack at a Brighton Park neighborhood gas station just before 3 p.m., police said.
The man, thought to be in his 20s, was found unresponsive about 3:10 a.m. inside a vehicle parked on the 200 block of West 93rd Place, police said. He had suffered multiple gunshot wounds to the face and neck and was dead at the scene.
The teen was found about 2:15 p.m. Wednesday inside a residence in the 700 block of North Homan Avenue, according to police. Police could not confirm whether the shooting was a suicide or homicide as Area North detectives investigate.
The men, 19 and 20, were sitting in a parked car about midnight in the 4000 block of West West End Avenue when a light-colored car pulled up, and someone inside fired shots, police said.
The most recent shooting happened about 8 a.m. in the South Side Grand Boulevard neighborhood. Two men were shot in a possible drive-by in the 5100 block of South Indiana, police said.
The men, 24 and 27, were sitting in a parked van in the 3400 block of West Roosevelt Road at 2 a.m. when a dark-colored car pulled up, and someone inside fired shots, police said.
Shelton Curtis, 22, faces two counts of murder in the Aug. 6 shooting deaths of James Powell and Raymond Washington-Whitehead, authorities said. An accomplice of Curtis', 22-year-old Kevin Blackmon, is also in custody and faces at least one charge of assisting a criminal.
The shooting happened at 1:30 a.m. in the 7800 block of South Cornell Avenue, police said. The women, 48 and 50, were on a porch with a group when they heard gunshots and felt pain, police said.
A 20-year-old man was walking in the 700 block of East 131st Street at 10:55 p.m. when someone fired shots from a passing dark SUV, police said. The SUV then drove off northbound.

About 6:30 p.m., the 18-year-old was outside in the 4600 block of South Lake Park Avenue when a vehicle pulled out of an alley and someone inside started shooting, police said.
The man, 41, was arguing with his girlfriend about 2:10 a.m. outside in the 800 block of East 100th Place, police said. The girlfriend's nephew then walked up and shot the man in both legs.
Officers were called to the 2000 block of Carolina Street about 12:40 a.m. for reports of a person down, according to a statement from Gary police.
