There were four different robberies of this variety with five victims within a period of less than half an hour in Bucktown Thursday morning. One of them was caught on video.
Several people in Bucktown were forced to unlock their phones and banking apps at gunpoint in the past 24 hours – and one case was caught on camera. CBS 2's Tara Molina reports.
The incident happened just after 10 p.m. on April 24 on the 95th Street Dan Ryan platform.
The robbery happened on April 7 around 8:30 p.m. at the Cermak-Chinatown stop in the 100 block of West Cermak Road.
Rigoberto Estremera, 43, was arrested and charged with two felony counts of aggravated robbery with indication of a firearm, one felony count of possessing a stolen vehicle, and one felony count of vehicular hijacking.
Jaheim Henyard, 22, pleaded guilty in October to one count of carjacking and two counts of robbery, according to court records.
The man was near an elevator when two men robbed and beat him in a garage in Park Ridge.
