It happened early Thursday morning at an apartment complex on West Jefferson Avenue in Naperville.
Two men were behind bars after allegedly beating a man, and then breaking into an apartment in Naperville.
CBS 2's Andrew Ramos reports that the offenders, according to police, demanded cash and valuables, pistol-whipping the homeowner and brutally assaulting the other two adults.

"They were looking for a big amount, millions and millions. And I said 'I don't know what you're talking about.'"
Jose Melendez was arrested on Wednesday in connection with a home invasion on Jan. 14 in the 100 block of Walnut Drive.
Joseph L. Tobias, 26, was arrested by Chicago police Friday morning in the 1900 block of West Ogden Avenue.
The suspect was taken to Loyola University Medical Center and was listed in serious condition and was later pronounced dead.
