Both robberies occurred in the 4300 block of North Francisco Avenue, according to an alert from Area North detectives. The first was on May 27 at 2:50 a.m., while the second occurred on June 7 at 3:50 p.m.
Devonte Terry, 19, was shot in the back and found unresponsive in the 5600 block of South Artesian Avenue at 12:44 a.m., police and the Cook County medical examiner's office said.
