Two people were in custody Thursday morning after Chicago Police officers witnessed a shooting and exchanged gunfire with the suspects in the West Pullman neighborhood on the Far South Side.
The men, ages 26 and 44, told investigators they were driving down the street at 1:54 a.m. in the 800 block of North Leamington when they heard shots and realized they had been hit, according to Chicago Police.
The latest slaying happened at 7:23 p.m. in the Back of the Yards neighborhood on the South Side, where a 39-year-old man was shot in the torso in the 4300 block of South Paulina.
