The crash on Sept. 4, 2022, killed 17-year-old Lucy Fernandez and left Katy Puig, now 21, with permanent disabilities.
The Quarry 2 and Well fires in western Miami-Dade are now nearly fully contained after burning more than 19,000 acres, allowing some roadways to reopen.

Victims said the suspect was making eye contact with them and was either following them around the store or their vehicles.
The crash was reported at the intersection of 9th Street and Meridian Avenue.

The unidentified victim was airlifted to JMH South Trauma Center.
