Police chase ends with gunfire, suspect and K9 killed in Kane County

By a little after 4 p.m., crews applying water to the fire appeared to have had better control of the blaze.
The driver of the truck did not appear to be injured.
Late Thursday, some big questions were emerging over the lack of smoke alarms going off.
