Before arriving in Philadelphia, Josh reported in Phoenix, where he covered the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2020 Presidential election, and the complex systems that fuel social and economic inequity. Josh's career path began long before he entered a newsroom. He spent several years advising organizations on how to build more inclusive, equitable environments, speaking across the country about the experiences of LGBTQ+ communities in athletics, faith spaces, healthcare, and education. His work centered on helping institutions understand how policy, culture, and representation shape people's daily lives.
He also believes deeply in the unifying power of sports. He served as an entertainment host for the Los Angeles Dodgers and later worked as a sideline reporter and producer, covering the 2017, 2018, and 2020 Rose Bowl games.
