Arlington Heights man hit, killed by car in Lake County, police say
Arriving deputies found a 39-year-old man from Arlington Heights who was critically wounded and without a pulse.

Just before 4:30 a.m., three people crashed a red sedan, possibly a Dodge Charger, into the side of the Cash America Jewelry & Loan at 4558 S. Cicero Ave.
Chicago police said the woman was the driver of a vehicle with several passengers inside when shots were fired.
Amin Betuni pleaded guilty on Thursday, Aug. 1, to a federal charge of knowingly and fraudulently exporting firearm parts in violation of U.S. laws and regulations, which is punishable by a maximum sentence of 10 years in federal prison.
Arriving officers indicated a car traveling eastbound in the center lane of Oakton Street collided with the bicyclist, identified as a 37-year-old man, who fell to the ground.
Jam M. Mercer, 33, was charged with aggravated assault, aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, and unlawful use of a weapon.
For 35 years, the festival has recreated a typical African village with art and performers from around the world.
"I saw a little blood on the axe, and he was smiling. He was smiling and walking with the axe like this and eating a cookie," a man outside said.
Chicago police said around 9 p.m., a male on a motorized bike was heading westbound in the 4900 block of West Chicago Avenue when he was struck by the Jeep.
Chicago police victims were standing outside when someone fired shots in their direction.
Jose Sanchez, 42, was arrested on Friday just before 9 p.m. in the 4500 block of West Cermak Road. He was charged with one felony count of aggravated battery and discharge of a firearm.
The shootings happened in the Chinatown and Washington Park neighborhoods.
The burglaries happened during the early morning hours in the Edison Park neighborhood – two of which happened on Saturday.
She was found unresponsive and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The ages of the victims range from 15 to 75.
