It happened around 2:30 a.m. in the 7400 block of South Wabash Avenue in the Greater Grand Crossing neighborhood.
The vehicle was described as having tinted windows and possible damage to the front driver's side and windshield.
The dolphin was born last Saturday morning to mother Allie, 38, who gave birth to the calf just before 12:30 a.m.
