Teen suspect sentenced to 5 years in deadly shooting of Chicago drummer
The shooter, who was 14 years old at the time of the killing, pleaded guilty to first-degree murder.

Members of the Public Transportation Section arrested the 15-year-old on Tuesday in the 8500 block of South Lafayette Avenue in the Chatham neighborhood.
Just before 1 a.m., officers from the Herrin Police Department, the Energy Police Department, and the Williamson County Sheriff's Office (WCSO) pursued a fleeing motorcycle in Herrin.
One victim was treated and released near the scene; the other was taken to a local hospital in good condition.
The robbery happened just before 7 p.m. at the Grand Street stop in the 500 block of North State Street.

Chicago police said a male driver in an SUV was involved in a crash with a female driver in a Volkswagen sedan. Both were on their way to a police station to file a report when they collided with a Chevy SUV.
Blessing Wasso has been missing since Nov. 15, 2021.
Christopher Jackson, 18, of Elmhurst, appeared in court, where the judge granted the motion to detain him pre-trial. A 17-year-old also from Elmhurst will appear at a detention hearing at a later time.
In both incidents, a passenger on the train was approached by the suspects and had their belongings taken by force.
Chicago police said officers responded to the area for a shots fired call and found the two men, in their 20s, shot in the east alley.
The attack happened just before 1:30 p.m. on the platform, located at 188 N. State St.
Chicago police said a car was traveling eastbound at a high rate of speed when it went through a red light and struck two other vehicles at the intersection.
The ages of the victims range from 5 to 62.
According to the U.S. Attorney's Office Northern District of Illinois, the crimes resulted in a total loss of around $3.8 million.
