Kenyon White, 34, of Chicago, was arrested and charged with attempted murder and aggravated battery with a firearm.
Reanna Hammad, 21, was last seen Friday morning around 11 a.m. by her mother at her home.
The driver was able to escape the flames but was taken to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
The victim was hit in the neck and abdomen and was taken to Comer Children's Hospital, where he died.
The ages of the victims range from 15 to 54.
Nyamca Tolefree, 29, is facing several charges, including failure to report an accident and driving under the influence.
Antwan Kelsor, 22, and Maurice Deloach, 23, were charged with multiple felonies, including four counts of identity theft.
