Man sought in alleged sexual assault of woman on Illinois Prairie Path in Elmhurst
Elmhurst Police are asking for the public's help in identifying the suspect accused of sexually assaulting a woman last week.
Police say it happened between 8:45 p.m. and 9 p.m. on Thursday on the Illinois Prairie Path between York Street and the Pioneer Park area.
They say the assault involved a woman battered while running on the path.
It was determined that the suspect visited a business prior to the incident.
EPD released photos of the suspect, described as a male Hispanic in his late 20s to early 30s and, at the time, wearing a red Aeropostale NY 87 Statue of Liberty graphic T-shirt, light colored cargo shorts, green Crocs shoes and a black Bulls cap.
The suspect was last seen fleeing the scene riding a black Segway-brand electric scooter with a headlight on, riding west on Vallette Street from York Street.
