Englewood boxer carries legacy of Chicago Golden Gloves tournament
The tournament began 100 years ago when young men from Chicago's working class neighborhoods fought for respect and glory.

It's a return to the Windy City for Jackie, who previously worked with WCIU as a features reporter and producer, as well as a digital host for the Chicago Blackhawks.

The tournament began 100 years ago when young men from Chicago's working class neighborhoods fought for respect and glory.
"Youth have been through so much trauma through the pandemic; whether it's from the school shutdown, and just the isolation, lack of academic stimulation for some, and the lack of social interactions."
The school has taken in 95 student refugees during the war.
All 25 salt trucks are working to keep roads safe.
A county agency said it have every salt truck out making continuous rounds in the county, treating 550 lane miles of roadway.
CBS 2's Jackie Kostek got an early look at all the cars on display at McCormick Place.
"It's crazy. I never thought I would get this close," said Uemura, a 16-year-old junior at Francis W. Parker School.

Some guests came all the way from Spain to celebrate Groundhog Day in Woodstock.
The attorney for Amir Worship said they reached a $12 million settlement for the boy, who is now permanently disabled after being shot in his knee during the police raid in May of 2019.
"My wife and I were racking our brains to try to think about everything from like, did we write a negative review about someone on Yelp? Did we give a bad rating to an Uber driver?"
"It was a thriving company. A lot of people worked there, too," neighbor Justin Gilliam said.
