The crash happened back on Nov. 24 at around 3:15 p.m., when a suspect leading deputies on pursuit slammed into the victim's pickup truck at the intersection of Artesia and Long Beach boulevards.
Police say that Bruce Edward Bell has four prior bank robbery convictions for which he has served more than 40 years in federal prison. He was released in 2021 and on supervised release at the time of his arrest in December.
The case will now be referred to the City Attorney's Office for misdemeanor filing considerations.
The body was found just after 4 p.m. at a lake in the Ken Malloy Harbor Regional Park.
