Chicago First Alert Weather: Showers and storms on and off this weekend

Albert Ramon is the chief meteorologist for CBS News Chicago. Albert joined the First Alert Weather Team in October 2021.
Before coming to CBS, Albert was chief meteorologist at the News Nation Network based in Chicago. While at the network, he covered landfalling hurricanes, blizzards, wildfires and tornado outbreaks for the entire country.
Albert also spent more than a decade at KVUE-TV in Austin, Texas, where he served as chief meteorologist. While in Austin, Albert won two regional Emmy Awards and several Associated Press Awards, including for Best Weathercast.
Before Austin, Albert also worked in Corpus Christi, Texas, at the CBS affiliate, where he also served as a chief meteorologist.
Albert holds degrees in Broadcast Meteorology from Mississippi State University and in Communication/Media Studies from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi.
Albert has earned Seals of Approval from both the American Meteorological Society and the National Weather Association.

Scattered showers increase after midnight Friday night, with a rumble of thunder possible.
Scattered showers are likely Saturday through Sunday with highs in the upper 70s.
Highs will be in the low 80s in Chicago, but mid to upper 70s along the lakeshore.
Saturday will feature a chance for rain in the morning, the mostly cloudy skies, breezy south winds and warmer temperatures in the afternoon. Highs will be in the mid to upper 80s.
According to CBS 2 Chief Meteorologist Albert Ramon, high pressure over the area will make for a sunny and dry Wednesday.
Clearing and cooler on Tuesday with highs in the 70s and lowering humidity.
Although widespread severe storms are not expected, storms producing gusty winds and torrential downpours will be possible.
Partly cloudy skies tonight with lows in the low 70s. Some patchy areas of fog will be possible, especially for areas south of I-80.
According to CBS 2 Chief Meteorologist Albert Ramon, it'll be partly cloudy overnight with lows in the upper 60s. Some patchy fog is possible for areas near the lake.
Isolated showers and storms will remain possible through the evening.
The storm warnings come amid the hottest day of the week.
The extra humidity will make it feel like it's in the low 100s with the heat index.
Rainfall amounts over the next five days could range from a half inch to the north, to as much as 2 inches in parts of Northwest Indiana.
Skies will be clearing tonight.
