People in the Lehigh Valley have spent Monday digging out after some areas got nearly a foot of snow.
Everyone needs good neighbors, especially during the snowstorm blanketing the Philadelphia region.
As the heaviest snow picks up in Philadelphia and around the Delaware Valley, some areas have already reported more than 2 inches of snow on the ground. Across the region, more than a foot of snow is possible.
After a fresh snowfall blanketed South Jersey, families spent the day outdoors — some sledding down hills and building snowmen, others shoveling driveways and clearing off cars as the cleanup began.
The Philadelphia region is expected to see its first measurable snow since February this weekend, and South Jersey could see some of the highest totals. CBS Philadelphia's Dan Snyder reports on how South Jerseyans are preparing.

This week will be dry in the Philadelphia area, however, the snow that's already on the ground will be sticking around. Expect plenty of sunshine to start the day, with temperatures in the teens. Wind chills will be in the teens and single digits all day long — and with the temperatures holding steady in the low 20s at best — we're likely to see the feels-like temperatures colder in the afternoon vs. the morning.
Saturday is the calm before the winter storm. Our NEXT Weather team is tracking heavy snow for Sunday, followed by frigid temperatures into the latter half of next week. PennDOT crews are keeping a close eye on South Philadelphia as the Eagles get ready to take on the LA Rams at Lincoln Financial Field. PennDOT said crews are not only ready to mobilize and retreat the roads, but they will adjust their response based on the snow accumulation. Jan Carabeo has your latest morning headlines.
