There's a deadly accident on Kelly Drive Thursday evening. The road is closed in both directions near Reservoir Drive. One person has been killed and several vehicles are involved. Several others were taken to the hospital.
The event is the largest one day sprint regatta in the country and features thousands of high school athletes.
Thousands of high school rowers from across the country are taking part in the event.
Kelly Drive had been closed since Wednesday when the Schuylkill River overtopped its banks and flooded the Philadelphia road.
